Our lack of immigration enforcement, both at the border and enforcing visas has existed for a very long time.

Congress has done a couple of reports noting individuals from terrorist supporting nations and organizations have been crossing the border for decades. In 2006 congress released a report "A LINE IN THE SAND: COUNTERING CRIME, VIOLENCE AND TERROR AT THE SOUTHWEST BORDER"; they released an update on it in 2012. Both note the that members of terrorist organizations have been apprehended and note it is highly likely more have evaded detection.

In 2010, during a routine traffic stop near Boston, the LEO followed up on his suspicions the driver was an illegal alien. That illegal alien owned and operated a flight school, which had a number of foreign students that were illegal aliens. Many on expired visas, some with no record of entry. (GAO-12-875, page 29). This kind of thing was discussed by the congressional committee on 9/11, that local LEOs would most likely encounter potential terrorists during routine encounters. Hence the need for Feds to coordinate with LEOS.

Instead, most jurisdictions now prohibit local LEOs from even following up on their suspicions about immigration status during routine encounters.

I can post links to those documents if you would like. Wasn't sure if posts with links are ok here.

I would have no objection, Mark. I am new enough to Substack that I do not know whether you would experience any problems in doing so. But I personally will not have time to review them, as I am so swamped with numerous things right now.

Thanks.

John, how many aircraft carriers and other naval vessels do we need in the gulf to become a real target for our many enemies?

Jodie, thanks for the interest of the question. I am reminded of Clint Eastwood’s (Dirty Harry’s) sage advice: “A man’s got to know his limitations.”

My limitations are that I do not have the information or expertise to answer that question. Any opinion that I might have is so little informed, that I would not want to put it out.

I don’t mean to wimp out on answering your question, but it would be a disservice for me to try to speculate.

The weakness and treason of the Biden administration continues. Weakness invites attack. Blinken disasters are the norm. Even without the corruption and questionable politics, the Biden-Blinken Blunders are still driven by a level of ineptitude unseen in America for many decades. As we say in Texas "they couldn't find their own ass using both hands." Of course the $6 billion oil cave-in by Biden is funding Hamas! Of course it's Iran behind the slaughter of Israelis. But the Biden mouthpieces lie, lie, lie.

Thanks for your observations Jim.

<i><blockquote>"At a minimum, Biden should have announced the reimposition of the freeze on the $6 billion that he earlier agreed to release to Iran..."</i></blockquote>

Honestly, I think that horse has already left the barn. They can't re-freeze the $6B because it's already gone, despite what the Biden administration, Qatar, or Iran says. That money is in the wind.

Thanks. You may be correct. That is the only rational explanation that I can think of for not having reimposed the freeze before now.

Facebook says you are spam. I guess they don't like what you have to say.

Thanks for the info. What do you think is their motive for censoring an article about the dangers of appeasement and weakness? These are bad people.

They are indeed bad people. I suspect the designation was not from this piece, but that you had already been placed in the Unperson bucket due to some previous post or complaint. The rejection came before I even hit "post", it was looking at the URL in the editor and gave me a nasty notice and said I couldn't even post it. I deleted the edit session, copy and pasted the entire text of your post, and posted it to "friends", with a screenshot of your header as a pic. That posted fine. So it wasn't the content, it was your URL. FYI.

Very interesting. Thanks for updating me. The only other one that I know was blocked was one I did a week or two ago about hotels in Massachusetts kicking veterans and their families out of hotel rooms where they had reservations for the army-navy game. Instead, they have blocked all of those rooms for illegal “migrants.“

In that post, I referred to the “migrants“ as criminals and invaders. That probably did the trick.
