I was lucky enough to hear Mr. Stern tell this story at a Holocaust remembrance event some years ago. I don't think there was a dry eye in the audience when he finished.

When faced with a “moral” dilemma one must first know what is the correct path and what is the incorrect path. If there is not that recognition than the choice is unclear. If the morality of one choice is apparent and the immoral choice is taken than it is a case of evil. But what if out of clueless the moral choice is never considered. I can believe the spokesperson can be clueless but the administration that hired her and gives her the talking points is evil.

Thanks for taking the time to comment, Steve. Although it is difficult to argue against the proposition that Jean-Pierre is clueless, to me, the choice of whether to label the pro-Hamas supporters, as “extreme“ is such a no-brained, that even she should have realized the clear moral choice between right and wrong.

But with the administrations evil position I’m will to give her a pass as she could be clueless and just parroting the party line. After WWII those that parroted the party line didn’t hang just did jail time. She is a very small cog in an evil enterprise.

John this is an outstanding piece. I hope its reach is far and wide. The contrast between the humble heroes of WWII in the face of Nazi aggression with the weak, pathetic, clowns mouthing their words to have it both ways in the face of abject terror is compelling. There are times when one must pick a side. That side does not have to be perfect. It only has to be in our best interest as Americans. That choice is clear. We stand with Israel. Every ten years or so this same drama plays out. Every time Israel must use harsh force to stop the onslaught against it. Every time Israel prevails. Not even the Islamic countries in that region want Palestinians in their country. They want it both ways, just like Biden does. Never in modern times have so many leaders been so weak. If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything. Weakness is destroying America. Ignorance is its handmaiden. Enough!

Thanks for taking the time to comment, Jim. As far as a “reach far and wide“ is concerned, Facebook has blocked it because it violates their “community standards.“

What else Bravo Blue's post implicitly teaches us in the bright glare of his narrative's distinctions between the failed courage in the leadership trait of our current top office holder and the repeated opposite in that of MSG Edmonds, is that there is an inherent inability to grow and to learn from the multiple trials and tests of those with backbone and those without one. My view that traits of character matter significantly in choosing our leaders is reinforced, perhaps unintentionally ?
