Biden didn't have a bad night last night...he had an average night, he acted they way he usually acts. It's just that the mainstream media edits their video clips of Biden to make him appear cogent to their audiences and last night was the first time many people actually saw Biden unfiltered.
Just like Governor William J. Lepetomane, Biden is nothing but a front man...in this case, for Obama and his clique. It will be interesting to see how he and his fellow puppeteers handle this threat to their power.
"The moderators did a good job" ==>> Yes, almost. When Biden stumbled over "...defeated medicare...", Tapper immediately saved Biden by asking Trump a question when Biden still had more time. And the CNN focus was still slanted. Saw the Mark Levine Sat session that said 8 questions were slanted in Biden's favor, and 3 questions were slanted in Trump's favor. The rest could be considered neutral.
John, I agree with your observation They Knew. They Knew Biden was incapable of debating back in April when they issued the challenge. After D-Day and Juneteenth They Knew. And certainly after a week of preparation with 16 experts They Knew. Yet they let him walk out on that stage Thursday night. So what's up with that?
Rick, One other possibility. Even if his staff did not want him to go through with it (unlikely in my opinion), Joe and Jill may have insisted upon it.
And that describes the two biggest obstacles to the Dems selecting a different candidate. Joe shows no signs of wanting to step down, and Jill is telling him he's doing great. They're not going anywhere and no one we know of has any leverage over them.
The third obstacle is Kamala. If anyone is going to be the next candidate, it's going to be her. I don't think she'll be brushed aside, and what could she be offered to step aside?
Three possibilities occurred to me. The first is that we have seen how TDS causes otherwise rational people to become delusional and lose the ability to reason. So, it just doesn’t make sense, but then that is symptomatic of TDS.
Or, maybe they thought that Trump would come across as so bad that it would overshadow Biden‘s weaknesses.
The third possibility that occurs to me is that they wanted his failure to be obvious in order to increase the pressure on him to withdraw so that they could put up a stronger candidate.

Dem's set this up, as Walter Kirn characterized it as a Mob hit they organized. The Democrats Convention will be a zoo of historic note. Raging pro Hamas mobs will shake the city.

Since the Left has the mindset THEY MUST WIN at all costs, I've been sure Biden would be replaced on the Dem ticket - no other "logical" choice remained. After the Debate, I was sure Biden was toast. AND THEN I LEARNED OTHERWISE - endless people were cheering Biden and saying today how much they wanted Biden. Intelligence/logic have nothing to do with the decision. The Left has already taken steps to cheat - I sent an article to friends this week from Daily Caller that showed the Fed Govt is giving illegal immigrants voter registration forms via the DMV and welfare offices so they can vote in Nov. I could keep going - the point is simply that the end result is still unknown.
