Biden's Transgender Day of Visibility Is a Declaration of War Against Christianity
I woke up Easter Sunday morning thinking what a glorious day for us Christians to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord. The good feeling was punctuated when I glanced at my emails and saw that several Jewish friends had written to wish me a happy Easter. But the joy of the day was quickly dampened when I turned on the morning news and learned that according to the President of the United States, I should have been celebrating “Transgender Day of Visibility.”
A little research revealed that on Good Friday, the holy day commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, President Biden issued a seven-paragraph, 635-word Presidential Proclamation (describe). The link is here. Please read it in full. It will only take a couple of minutes of your day. A careful reading and analysis leave no doubt that this Proclamation is essentially a declaration that the Biden Administration is at war with Christian values. And I do not mean to slight my Jewish friends who I believe would confirm that although some of our religious beliefs differ, they share and honor many principles and ideals, such as faith, hope and charity, that we often call Christian values.
A few excerpts from the Proclamation will give you its flavor (but do read the whole thing):
“On Transgender Day of Visibility, we honor the extraordinary courage and contributions of transgender Americans and reaffirm our Nation’s commitment to forming a more perfect Union — where all people are created equal and treated equally throughout their lives.”
“To form a more perfect union”? It is no accident that Biden has lifted the opening paragraph in his Proclamation from the Preamble to our government’s founding document. This sick Proclamation is to “reaffirm” the U. S. Constitution! That tells us the importance that he and his handlers put on this thing.
“I am proud to have appointed transgender leaders to my Administration and to have ended the ban on transgender Americans serving openly in our military. . . .
Transgender Americans are part of the fabric of our Nation.”
Well, yes. Biden has indeed made it a point to seek out mentally ill people to serve in his Administration. And he is proud to have done so! How could we forget?
And, of course, Biden has also promoted transgender personnel in the military. Remember this guy?
This is not a man who is going to “win our wars.” As I have written previously, he is evidence that our brave combat soldiers are indeed “Lions Led by Donkeys.”
“But extremists are proposing hundreds of hateful laws that target and terrify transgender kids and their families — silencing teachers; banning books; and even threatening parents, doctors, and nurses with prison for helping parents get care for their children.”
It is not clear what Biden means by “silencing teachers.” Given the present state of affairs in many school districts, Biden appears to be referring to parents who do not want teachers recruiting their kids as to become transgenders. So no, we don’t want teachers to be free to groom our third graders to join the “queer” lifestyle. Nor do we want them trying to persuade seventh graders who may be entering puberty that they need to take life-altering puberty blockers or have surgery to remove their breasts or penises. That is always true but is especially so in those jurisdictions that affirmatively conceal from parents what they are doing to their children. So, if that is “silencing teachers,” then that is a good thing.
“Banning books”? As is well-documented, Biden cannot get through a speech, interview with a prosecutor, or a “Proclamation,” without lying. We all have seen videos of parents at school board meetings who have objected to having pornographic books depicting oral sex, anal sex, masturbation and other graphic sexual activities, made available in elementary school classrooms for very young children. It appears that Biden is now throwing the weight of the federal government against parents who make such objections.
And to be clear, by “care for their children,” Biden means life-altering surgical procedures for young children that many come to regret to the point of being suicidal, and all the other horrors that go with “gender affirming surgery.”
“The Department of Justice has taken action to push back against extreme and un-American State laws targeting transgender youth and their families and the Department of Justice is partnering with law enforcement and community groups to combat hate and violence.”
This is indeed a declaration of war against Christian parents. Biden and the left make no bones about it — Parents who oppose their “gender affirming” policies are “haters.” This is clear in their statements daily and even in Biden’s Proclamation itself, which characterizes opposition to their transgender initiatives as “hate” and “hateful.” So, parents, if you disagree with Biden’s agenda, especially if you date speak out against it at, say, a school board meeting, then you will be facing the awesome power of the federal government’s corrupt Department of Justice. Just ask the January 6 defendants who are still in jail without a trial, what’s in store for you. And don’t think for an instant that it can’t happen to you. We have already seen what happens to parents who speak out against boys in skirts sexually assaulting girls in school bathrooms. And DOJ’s prosecution of demonstrators at abortion clinics, including charging some as racketeers under the RICO laws, is intended to send a clear message: Don’t mess with the federal government. And by “don’t mess with,” we mean don’t do anything to make us angry.
“There is much more to do. I continue to call on the Congress to pass the Equality Act, to codify civil rights protections for all LGBTQI+ Americans.”
This is a key part of the strategy of war against Christianity. It is a prescription for more lawfare against everyone who does not fall in line with the Biden and transgender agenda. With the so-called Equality Act, Biden and a battalion of Democrat politicos seek to add “gender-related identity, appearance, mannerisms, or other gender-related characteristics of an individual, regardless of the individual’s designated sex at birth” as a class entitled to special protection under the Civil Rights Act of 1964. What does that mean for ordinary Americans? It is part of the war on you: The attacks on girls’ and women’s sports will continue; local schools and teams will be forced to accept men on women’s sports teams. You don’t want to use one of the made-up pronouns to refer to men pretending to be women? You may find yourself in the crosshairs of Biden’s DOJ, and looking at personal bankruptcy or worse. Are you one of those “haters” who objects to seeing a naked man shaving in the girls’ locker room at your local gym? Better lawyer-up because if you complain, the FBI could come calling. You own or run a business? This could be your new receptionist whom you could be forced to accept as the public face of your company:
Despite all this, are you still skeptical that this is a war against Christian values? Think again. This bill that the President pushes with his Proclamation would expressly gut the now-existing protection of our freedom to practice our religion. Section 1007 of the bill provides: “The Religious Freedom Restoration Act of 1993 (42 U.S.C. 2000bb et seq.) shall not provide a claim concerning, or a defense to a claim under, a covered title, or provide a basis for challenging the application or enforcement of a covered title.”
So, for example, if your doctor, nurse or hospital has objections to performing life-altering surgery on vulnerable children because of their religious beliefs, they will have to choose between adhering to their beliefs or forgoing their right to practice medicine. The list could go on and on. No one will be safe from the mandatory indoctrination and oppression of religious beliefs and practices.
With his Proclamation, Biden obviously is saying that transgenders are not visible enough. In fact, Transgender Visibility Day is just one of many similar “celebrations” that are part of the ongoing war against Christian values. Weigh all that and the “Proclamation” against the six–sentence “Statement” Biden released Easter morning, conveying his and Jill’s “warmest wishes” to Christians celebrating Easter. The link is here. Spend the 15 seconds or so that it will take you to read it, and then contrast it with the “Proclamation” that transgendered personnel should be more visible. And understand that Biden’s Easter “Statement” ranks beneath a “Proclamation”1 in the hierarchy of Presidential communications.
Nowhere in his Easter “Statement” does Biden call for an end to the persecution of Christians, the targeting of Christian values for extinction. Nowhere does he ask Congress to provide for the protection of our religious freedom. In fact, as noted above, his “Equality Act” would do exactly the opposite.
The White House’s timing of the announcement on Good Friday, and the designation of Easter Sunday as “Transgender Day of Visibility” was not accidental or an innocent oversight. These were calculated in-your-face provocations that are intended to send a clear message that the war on traditional Christian values is proclaimed. Be aware and act accordingly.
According to Georgetown Law School, Presidential Proclamations are announcements of Presidential policy that are required to be first published in the Federal Register and then are included in the Code of Federal Regulations.
This is the most gross behavior this administration has displayed. If good folks can not see this evil and do not rally together, we are not going to survive. They are attacking the very foundation of the Western World. This is not just a difference of opinion on politics or economics or some kind of policy. This is pure evil.
The speed by which the trans movement has captured “mainstream” institutions and the Democratic Party astonishes me. Last week, my daughter called to tell me that her children’s preschool had hired a trans teacher (with no notification to the parents.) My son-in-law was picking up their child and saw a man in a dress and immediately went to the director’s office. The director seemed surprised that my son-in-law was upset (although she admitted that she had reveived some calls from other parents) and told him that, since it was “picture day,” she had told this teacher that he could “celebrate themself” and not adhere to the usual dress code. Unbelievable! (Of course, they pulled my grandson out of the preschool right away.) Fortunately, my daughter has flexible work and lots of family to help out, but there are a lot of families who don’t have much childcare flexibility and never imagined that this would be an issue they would be facing. Ditto for parents who can’t afford private or parochial school (or to homeschool.) The vigilance that parents have to exercise these days due to progressive policies and values is daunting.
